Chicago, IL—The Chicago Artists Coalition (CAC), a 40 year-old non-profit organization whose mission is to build a sustainable marketplace for entrepreneurial artists and creatives, presents a special event series for members of the Chartwell Collectors Circle, a group dedicated to cultivating art collectors in Chicago. Founded in 2012, Chartwell Collectors Circle is one of CAC’s core programs aimed to bridge the gap between artists and the communities in which they live and work.
Sponsored by Chartwell Insurance Services and Chubb Personal Insurance, Collectors Circle offers an exclusive calendar of educational and social events throughout the year which broaden members’ knowledge about contemporary arts and culture. Open to new and existing members, the roster of annual events includes studio tours with artists, behind the scenes home tours with major collectors and invitations to special talks and exhibition previews.
Chartwell Collectors Circle members will have access to special perks throughout the year, including an upcoming VIP champagne breakfast preview of CAC’s second annual art fair, EDITION Chicago, September 19, held in CAC’s West Loop gallery space (217 N. Carpenter Street.) EDITION Chicago showcases cutting edge galleries and non-profit institutions from around the world in an intimate, invitation-only art fair context. during EXPO CHICAGO, the International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, Sept. 19-21, 2014.
Other events include a talk with artist Jordan Martins at the Room and Board showroom, Thursday, October 16, from 6-8pm and a private studio tour with artist Dan Gunn, represented by monique meloche gallery, on Thursday, November 13, from 6-8pm.

This year’s Collectors Circle 2014 roster of events has included private collection tours of Gensler principal Carlos Martinez’s residence as well as Jack and Sandra Guthman’s residence, an open studio night at Mana Contemporary and a studio tour of Henbane Artists Collective that included remarks from artists Jenny Kendler, Stacia Yeapanis, Meg Leary and Brent Fogt.
