Chicago Artists Coalition Announces $25,000 Art Works Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

Chicago Artists Coalition (CAC) is proud to announce that it has received a generous $25,000 Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This grant will support the BOLT and HATCH residencies from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

BOLT and HATCH are competitive, juried, one-year residency programs that function as creative and professional incubators for Chicago-based artists and curators. The programs are housed at CAC, creating an artist and curator community experience that is uniquely urban-based and multi-faceted. BOLT and HATCH offer rotating six-week exhibitions, peer and professional networking opportunities, customized professional development, and intensive community building for up to 34 residents each year.

Caroline Older, Executive Director of CAC notes, "We are deeply grateful to the NEA for their continued support of BOLT and HATCH and by extension Chicago’s artists and curators."

The Chicago Artists Coalition is a non-profit organization that supports contemporary Chicago artists and curators by offering residency programs, exhibitions, professional development and resources that enable them to live, work and thrive in the city. CAC is deeply committed to advancing the cause of art and its importance in Chicago’s culture and economy by cultivating a wide-reaching civic, philanthropic and public support network.
