Private Art or Work space at Flatiron Arts Bldg: Small but Mighty!
We have a small BUT MIGHTY private niche in the Flatiron Arts Building- a small but airy private space, satellite to LMN Wedge's main studio space. Available NOW!
It measures FOUR FEET WIDE by 16 feet deep, with an 11' ceiling, and tall window on north-facing wall. A tiltable desk, chair and lamp are included for your use. IT IS NARROW but deep, with a high ceiling. The space has lovely north-facing window light, and good airflow. It's private and quiet, and it's in the Flatiron Arts Building, right at the center of Wicker Park's action.
(We have affectionately nicknamed it "Monastic Fantastic", because it reminds us of those monks' cells where contemplative, inspired, private art and writing could be accomplished.)
Recently, a writer was using the space for her writing practice. She has finished her thesis project, so no longer needs the studio space. We are looking for someone new to occupy the space. The arrangement would be month-to-month, up to (and possibly beyond) a year. We are hoping for at least a 3-month commitment. We are asking $500 per month for the space with the 3-month commitment, or $475/month for 6 months or more. Paying up-front will get you another $25 off per month. Rent includes utilities and 5G Wifi that we'll provide.
Looking forward to hearing from you, if you'd like to check it out! again, FOUR feet wide: It's not quite wide enough to spread out our arms full length, unless you're of short stature. It works great, if you like working on smaller artworks, design or other computer-generated work, or writing. It's also a great meditation space, or space to meet one-on-one with clients. If interested, please email us and let us know more about you, and how you plan to use the space.
Check out images of the space and location, at the link to our website below: you'll see how it looked with a couple of different setups (we had two different writers/researchers use it over the last couple of years). Also, there's a picture from our main space during one of our open figure drawing events, which you'd be welcome to ;-)
If it looks approximately close to what you'd like, the best is for you to see it for yourself. Looking forward to hearing from you!
