Looking for another printmaker or letterpress artist to share studio space and printing equipment. We’re envisioning a collective, flexible flow to the space with shared equipment and workspaces as well as our individual desks.
We have: letterpress (10x15 treadle-powered platen press) and some wood and metal type etc, etching press, proof press, offset press, perfect binding machine, spiral binding machine, guillotine, kingsley hot foil stamping machine.
Probably not an ideal space for screen printing as there isn’t a place for washing out screens.
On the 9th floor of a very well-maintained building walking distance from the Cermak/Chinatown red line stop, with free parking nearby as well or paid parking in the building. Freight and passenger elevators, a kitchenette with microwave right next to our studio space as well as a common space and cafe on the 5th floor.
We host open studio days and workshops a few times a month to engage with the community, and you’re welcome to participate in that if you want to.
The whole space is 1700 sq feet, and there will be four of us sharing the space, including you!
