Live/Work Studio available in Wicker Park's premier digital media incubator/home for hungry artists. In addition to a beautiful ~1200 square foot private courtyard, our shared studio/residency space is home to 4 private rooms, a shared kitchen and bathroom, and 1800 sq ft of collaborative work/gallery/social space in our open format loft. Your private room features a lofted sleeping area, private entrance and basic furnishings/amenities. ALL UTILITY COSTS ARE INCLUDED in the flat cost, including blazing highspeed WiFi and access to on site photo/video/audio equipment, instruments, projectors, lighting, and a HTC Vive Virtual Reality studio. Residents have access to a spacious multi-use common area that frequently plays home to gallery events, workshops, social happenings and gatherings of nerdy artists. We're sure you'll fit right in. Fully/partially furnished room available, or we can clear it out to make room for your practice.In addition to the usual desirable roommate qualities (basic cleanliness, self-awareness, decency, etc.) we'd very much like you to be interested in making something cool. We produce projects, arts and events of widely varying kinds and are interested in adding your creative energy to the vibe of our space. That said, anything under these headings will fit in most harmoniously: video, music production, projection mapping, 3D, VR, gaming, creative coding/development, event promotion, literature, journalism, social justice, documentary television, photography, misanthropy, and the many faces of digital multi-media.Your roommates are musicians, coders, visual artists and technologists. Although the vibe changes with each personality sharing residency in the space, a common thread is one of creative hustle, collaboration and inspiration. As producers, exhibiting artists, performers and curators, you will find yourself in a position where it is very likely that perspectives and opportunities you hadn't previously examined will cross your path quite naturally. We offer 24/7 access to all of the culture the wicker/humboldt/logan area provides, including a location that is blocks away from either the Damen or Western Blue Line stops, 24 hr bus service, and a variety of Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Vegan/Vegetarian options a stones throw away.
