Youth Improv Instructor
Improv Playhouse is seeking instructors for our youth and teen Improv Classes during the 2019/2020 season. We are looking for leaders: upbeat, outgoing personalities who are self-starters and inspire the best in others. Must work well with children (levels beginning through advanced) as well as engage parents.
Teaching experience and experience working with children is preferred. Our Improv Classes create a sense of play though theatre games that build up each student’s spontaneity, self-concept, poise, stage presence, outward focus, and commitment to their comedy-performance team. Instructors will assist in the development of original comedy sketches to be presented at a final showcase. Instructors should have evening and/or weekend availability.
Qualifications must include:
- Bachelor's Degree or similar experience
-Experience performing or teaching Improv
-Experience working with youth
-Personal integrity
