Volunteer opportunity: Sept 20th Fundraiser for music & mentorship nonprofit, Guitars Over Guns
Guitars Over Guns provides free access to music, arts education, and mentorship for young people in Chicago schools and community spaces. We need volunteers to support our annual fundraiser, Band Together on September 20th in West Loop. It will be a night of live music, community highlights, and of course fundraising for our programs in Chicago. We have various roles available, your help will make a big difference in creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our guests!

Date: Saturday, September 20th
Location: Amazing Space, 207 S Desplaines St, Chicago, IL 60661
Time: Event runs 6pm-9pm, volunteer shifts available between 3pm-9pm
Volunteer role descriptions:
- Greeter/Lobby Host: Welcome guests to the venue, give directions, interact with guests waiting in line, promote raffle & auction participation
- Registration & Check-in: Check-in registered guests, manage on-site registrations, distribute wristbands, promote raffle & auction, answer questions
- Raffle Ticket Seller / Donation seeker: Circulate throughout the venue to sell raffle tickets via scanner, promote donations via QR code
- Raffle & Auction Attendant: Stationed at the raffle table, sell tickets, manage & document raffle drawings, assist winners in receiving their items.
- Stage/Performance & Green Room Support: Support with tasks assigned by show managers as needed, such as cueing performers & escorting to/from green room, ensuring smooth transitions for the run of show, communicating between team members.
- Setup Crew: Assist as-needed with unloading & setting up supplies, tables, equipment, signage, auction items, decor, etc.
- Cleanup Crew: Assist as-needed with breaking down & load-out all equipment and supplies, cleaning, and re-setting the space
