Job Summary Non-profit organization (AMI) is seeking a String instructor for campus in Clarendon Hills & Downers Grove. Instructor will be responsible for teaching private lessons and possibly group classes. Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality instruction to students of all ages in private lessons and group classes- Provide assessment of students’ musical progress- Be able to teach all String Instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass)- Collaborate with parents, administrative staff for scheduling, etc- Timely correspondence with director, school staff, and parents- Actively participate in faculty meetings Position Requirements - At least 2 years experience teaching experience- Ability to communicate instrumental techniques and concepts to students- Personable, collaborate nature and able to work with students, families, and administration- High level of personal responsibility and musicianship
