Violin Teacher in CPS
Music House is currently seeking a violin teacher to serve in our before/after school Outreach Program in one or two of our partnering Chicago Public schools, with option to expand schedule to private lessons with experience and commitment. This teacher would be responsible for maintaining engaging curriculum that is performance-based (training and materials available and provided), taking and submitting attendance, and committing to scheduled classes for the 2019-2020 school year. Possible Classes: (curriculum and training available on all classes)
- Pre-Twinkle Violin, 3-4 year olds preparing to play violin through song
- Beginning Violin, mostly kindergarteners and first graders
- Intermediate Violin, Suzuki Repertoire
- Advanced Violin, end of Suzuki Book 1
- Cadet Orchestra: learning to read notes and simple orchestral material
- String Ensemble: more advanced orchestral material
