Textiles Studio Monitor
The Textiles Department is accepting applications for a Volunteer Studio Monitor to support the upkeep of the textiles studios and welcome students during open studio sessions on Saturday evenings from 5-9PM. Two hours are expected for basic cleaning of the textiles rooms, while the remaining time can be used to work on a personal textiles project while staying attentive to students’ needs during the open studio.
The current period for this role would begin on January 10th and continue through March 14th with the potential/option to continue for future sessions.
This is a work-for-trade position. In exchange for four hours of work a week, monitors receive either one free 10-week class or two free 5-week classes during the session worked.
We are looking for Monitors with one or more of the following skill sets:
- Knowledge of how to thread a sewing machine and basic operation.
- Positive, professional, and excellent people skills
- Tidy and organized
