STAGE MANAGER--Bernhardt/Hamlet

Edge of the Wood Theatre, 6736 N Loleta Avenue, Chicago is seeking a STAGE MANAGER for its Resident Theatre production of Bernhardt/Hamlet by Theresa Rebeck. Performances run March 28-April 13 in the theatre space on the lower level of the Edgebrook Community Church, on the far northwest side of Chicago.

Responsibilities:
Production Coordination:
Collaborate with directors, designers, and technical teams to plan and execute the production schedule.
Manage and oversee all aspects of rehearsals, ensuring adherence to the production timeline.

Communication and Organization:
Facilitate effective communication among cast and crew members. Maintain accurate and organized production documentation, including rehearsal schedules, production notes, and rehearsal reports for each rehearsal.

Rehearsal and Performance Support:
Attend all rehearsals and performances, taking note of blocking, cues, and any necessary adjustments.
Run lights and sound during performances.
Coordinate backstage activities during performances, including scene changes, prop management, and actor entrances/exits.
Ensure the safety and well-being of cast and crew members during rehearsals and performances.

First rehearsal is in early February. Rehearsals are Monday-Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Tech week begins Saturday, March 22. Twelve performances run from March 28-April 13, 2025.
