Social Media Manager

Job Title: Social Media Manager

Reports To: Program Director & Founder

Location: Remote | Job Type: Part Time (40 hrs per month) Position Type: Internship | Work Exchange + Pay

We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and organized social media manager to join a brand new holistic online educational program. In this position, you will interact with targeted virtual communities and network users to promote the program & our affiliates while providing customer care services to new audiences.

Responsibilities:

● Strategy Development: Develop and implement social media brand strategies, campaigns, and plans to build brand/company awareness.

● Content Creation: Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency.

● Community Engagement: Create, maintain, and grow new and existing social networks, including

Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, Google+, Facebook, and others.

● Monitoring: Monitor social media progress using web analytic tools.

● Collaboration: Incorporate optimization strategies, analyze data, and research the best ways to

increase traffic.

● Education Promotion: Promote education-related content and services.

● Review and Reporting: Review the success of campaigns and develop ways to improve.

Qualifications:

● 2+ years of social media management experience with examples and proven results

● Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite and HubSpot

● Strong computer skills, with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

● Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices

● Experience with Google AdWords and email campaigns.

● Solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms

● Knowledge of analytical tools

● Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills

● Top-notch oral and verbal communication skills

● Excellent leadership qualities

● The Social Media Manager will facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries.

● Social Media Manager will develop online reviews, polls, and feedback from potential clients.

● The Social Media Manager will develop and submit an optimal posting schedule while finding new

ways to attract prospective clients through promotions, competitions etc.

● Social Media Manager must be willing to develop an online blog/monthly newsletter/ podcast (working

with other team members in other departments will support the mission)

● Social Media Manager will be the first line of communication for supporters, sponsors, inquiries, to

ensure that the message and mission is being communicated effectively during the advertising

campaign.

● Must have excellent writing, proofreading & editing skills. Must have excellent time management skills

without the need for micromanagement.
