Social Media / Content Creator / Office Assistant (Part-Time)

We’re looking for a creative and organized team member to support Unity Chicago’s communications and media efforts and general office administration. Responsibilities include:

• Designing flyers and digital materials for events and promotions
• Creating Powerpoint presentations for Sunday Service
• Creating and scheduling content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
• Editing short- and long-form videos for social media and livestream use
• Managing channels in Canva, Microsoft Office, and Google Drive
• Sending email campaigns through Constant Contact
• Updating and maintaining our website via Squarespace
• General office administration (handling bills, email correspondence, etc.)
• Assist with preparation of regular Sundays (in person and live stream production; plus a social hour with coffee / food every week) and extracurricular events: picnics, classes, etc.

Working in a small office of 3 staff and directly supporting Operations Manager with misc. assistance to Youth Leader and senior minister.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, skilled in digital storytelling, and comfortable working across multiple platforms. There is a lot of room for creativity, while organization, logic, and self-motivation is extremely important. This is a unique and interesting position. If you’re ready to join a team that’s all hands on deck, and willing to jump in where needed then this is the right fit for you. The right person will not be bored!

UNITY CHICAGO: A nonprofit church / spiritual center in Chicago in the Edgewater neighborhood (Sheridan and Thorndale, near Thorndale Red Line CTA), that provides in-person and live stream services.
