Singing Instructor for Youth Musical Theatre Program / The Stage School
The Stage School is currently seeking a qualified singing instructor for our upcoming winter/spring session.
The instructor will teach singing to children ages 6-16 and serve as the music director for our spring production of Singin' in the Rain Jr.
At The Stage School, all students study drama, singing, and dance. Students are grouped by age with limited class sizes.
We primarily teach group singing with a musical theater focus.
Our singing teacher is responsible for music directing our end of term presentation and preparing students for performance, as well as teaching fundamental skills to beginning and intermediate level singers throughout the term.
Session Dates: Saturdays, January 11 – April 26, 2025 (No class March 31)
Class times: 2 PM – 5 PM each week
Saturday, April 26 - Performance at 6:30 pm with a 2 pm call time for dress rehearsal. We typically end around at 8pm.
Location: Centennial Activity Center, 100 S Western Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068
Compensation is $50 per hour of teaching time.

Ideal teaching candidates will
· be motivated, energetic, and organized
· have a strong professional background in vocal music and musical theater.
· have experience teaching children ages 6 - 16
· have experience in rehearsing and directing performances
· have a passion for teaching life skills to young people through the performing arts.
