Seeking Volunteer Judges for the Scholastic Art Awards
The Chicago affiliate of the national Scholastic Art and Writing Awards - the nation's longest-running recognition program for creative teens in grades 7 through 12 is recruiting judges for Art programs.
Judging is also a great way to build connections and network. The adjudication process is the core of our recognition program. Jurors look for works that exemplify the Awards’ core values: originality, skill, and the emergence of personal voice or vision.
- Art categories include Animation, Architecture, Comic Art, Design, Digital Art, Illustration, Fashion, Film, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and more.
Here are the details:
- Art Judging will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 10am to 5pm (with a break for lunch). Judges and moderators will meet virtually on Zoom, and judging will take place via the scholastic art and writing portal.
- After you submit the volunteer form, we will send a follow-up email with specific information on the adjudication process.
- Judges will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
