Scenic Carpenter
We are seeking a skilled Scenic Carpenter to join our fabrication shop, specializing in exhibit,
exhibition, and live experience projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fine
woodworking, laminating, veneer work, and high-end finishing techniques.
Skills:
Proven experience as a finish carpenter in scenic, exhibit, or event fabrication.
Proficiency in woodworking tools, CNC machinery, and finishing techniques.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Experience working with a variety of materials such as wood, plastics, and metals is
essential.
Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of working both independently and as part
of a team.
Responsibilities:
Construct and install scenery and stage elements for live productions, events, and exhibits
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Select materials and tools needed for each project
Closely collaborate with scenic designers and other crew members to achieve desired
results
Ensure all scenic elements are built safely and meet industry standards
Maintain and repair scenery and stage elements as needed
Adhere to production timelines and stay within budget constraints
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques in scenic carpentry
