Production Intern

Improv Playhouse is seeking Production Interns to run sound and lights during performances of our Improv House Team in Libertyville, IL. We are looking for enthusiastic people who enjoy working with a close knot team. Our interns will be involved in multiple aspects of the theater world: including theater management and technical theater. The skills that these interns will acquire from working with our establishment will not only improve their resumes, but also give them a competitive edge in the theater community. Libertyville Show Times: Every Saturday at 7:30pm and 9:00pm

Qualifications: the ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills and amazing attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills and general computer competence (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, email, internet, etc. Mac and PC experience preferred). Ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and utilize interpersonal skills to work with a variety of staff, customers, and volunteers. Also important is a passion for the theatre and arts education. Applicants will need reliable transportation to and around the Northern Chicago Suburbs.

Office Hours are Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm

Interns may have the opportunity to work on and/or sit in on weekend/evening rehearsals and classes. Expectation of hours per week: 5-20 hours
