Musical Theater Teaching Artist

Do you want to Build a Snowman? Skyline Studios, winner of the 2018 Illinois Theatre Associationā€™s Award for Excellence in Creative Drama, is seeking dedicated, engaging, and dynamic theater educators to work with children ages 3-12 in their fall session featuring Frozen, Jr! Skyline directors create a fun and non-competitive environment to inspire confidence and a love of performing in participants. Classes are comprised of ensemble building, exploring basic theatre technique, and learning the necessary music, choreography (provided by company), and scene work in preparation for a final performance.

Candidates must have prior experience working with youth, as well as strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills. Prior theater, music, and/or dance teaching experience is strongly preferred. Classes are held Monday-Friday during preschool and after school hours in a variety of locations around the North Shore (Winnetka, Wilmette, Glenview, etc). Directors are responsible for their own transportation to and from class locations. Pay is competitive and the majority of our teachers teach multiple classes throughout the week.

Interested? Please send an email of interest and attached resume to skylinechicago@gmail.com (fall classes run September through December 2019).
