Music Non-Profit Intern (String Player)

American Music Institute is a Non- Profit organization located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Job is mostly remote, with some on-site work needed. AMI is seeking an intern who is interested in gaining hands on experience in an arts education nonprofit. In addition to general office tasks, the intern will support the professional staff with a variety of projects, administrative, and fundraising-related tasks. Intern may attend staff meetings and become an integral part of the AMI team. Intern is invited to networking/professional development opportunities. The intern will obtain a 360 perspective on the inner workings of a small arts education non profit, gain real-life office experience, and learn the practical challenges of juggling priorities and deadlines.

Hours: Normal business hours, somewhat flexible, 4hrs per day, 5 days per week

Location: Mostly remote with some on-site western suburbs of Chicago, occasionally able to work from home

* Duties - Ability to work closely with Directors - General administrative, including day-to-day operations - Development of programs and projects - Organize and maintain databases - Assist with projects as needed - Help with fundraising & communications - Support mailings and other annual/ semi-annual campaign initiatives - Assist in the production of special events - Help social media and communications initiatives
