Metalsmithing & Jewelry Instructors
Lillstreet Art Center is looking for instructors to teach in our Metalsmithing & Jewelry Department. We are specifically looking for teaching artists with the ability to lead beginner to intermediate evening and weekend workshops and/or five to ten week classes covering the following subjects:
- Jewelry & functional wares
- Basic silversmithing projects: rings, cuffs, bangles, earrings, pendants, etc
- Casting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in studio art or higher; or 5+ years as a working artist
- At least two years of previous teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- Positive, professional and motivated
- Excellent people skills
- Must be comfortable working with adults of all skill levels and abilities
- Evening and weekend availability preferred

Compensation
This is a contract position with an hourly rate based on experience, starting at $24/ hr.
