Media and Event Coordinator (Part Time)

Rembrandt Chamber Musicians (RCM) is a Chicago-based, artist-led nonprofit ensemble dedicated to presenting intimate, high-quality chamber music experiences that connect performers and audiences in meaningful ways. Through innovative programming, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community partnerships, RCM supports outstanding musicians and brings chamber music to diverse audiences across Chicagoland.
RCM presents multiple concerts and special projects each season, including traditional chamber music performances, collaborative programs, and community-centered events in a variety of venues.
With support from the Illinois Arts Council, Rembrandt Chamber Musicians will hire a Media and Event Coordinator for February–August 2026. Due to the nature of the grant, this position is limited to individuals 22 years of age or younger. While this is a temporary role, candidates who are interested in continuing work with RCM beyond this period are encouraged to apply, contingent on future funding.
Applicants with their own artistic or creative practices are encouraged to apply and may have opportunities to grow into expanded artistic, curatorial, or production roles in the future.
Position Details & Compensation
This is a part-time position running approximately 7 months (February–August 2026).
Pay: $30 per hour
Time Commitment: Approximately 4–5 hours per week on average
Payment Schedule: Paid twice monthly
Work Structure: Approximately 50% remote / 50% in-person

Responsibilities
Time Commitment & Availability
Must be available for in-person evening and afternoon events in Chicago and Evanston for all or the vast majority of the following dates: March 13, March 15, April 19, May 15, May 17, June 11, and other dates as assigned.
Event Coordination (In-Person)
Photograph and record video during concerts and events
Serve as a liaison between musicians, venues, and audiences, representing Rembrandt Chamber Musicians
Manage event-related communications, including mailing list sign-ups and audience engagement
Staff the RCM information table and assist with merchandise sales when applicable
Assist with light production needs (basic sound and/or video support)
Digital Marketing (Remote)
Manage, edit, and organize photo and video content from live performances and archives
Create and edit digital promotional materials, including concert flyers and social media graphics
Post, monitor, and engage on RCM’s social media platforms
Prepare visual content for website updates, newsletters, and marketing campaigns
Skills & Qualifications
Experience with photography and videography (shooting and basic editing)
Must own a camera or a high-quality smartphone with sufficient storage
Ability to efficiently manage large digital files across devices, external drives, and cloud storage
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
Clear communication and strong organizational skills
Proficiency with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (Canva required)Requirements
Must be 18–22 years old (per grant requirements)
Must live in or near Chicago and have access to reliable transportation
Relevant experience in digital media, marketing, or arts administration
Goal-oriented and comfortable working with timelines and deadlines
Ability to work independently as a professional representative of Rembrandt Chamber Musicians
Genuine interest in chamber music and Chicago’s classical and performing arts community
Ideal candidates are open to continuing work with RCM after August 2026
