Marketing & Communications Manager

POSITION: Marketing & Communications Manager
Full Spectrum Features NFP (“FSF”) seeks a full-time or part-time Marketing & Communications Manager who is passionate about racial/gender justice and the power of cinema to effect social change. The Manager will work closely with FSF leadership on digital advertising campaigns in support of various film programs that elevate the voices of underrepresented storytellers. The right candidate will be well-rounded in various areas of digital marketing, publicity, communications, social media, campaign management, content creation, digital advertising, and audience analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility of the Manager is to plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Planning:
    • Coordinate between digital marketing campaigns and organic content (custom URL builds, campaign timing, etc.)
    • Strategize with FSF’s digital marketing specialist and program directors on design assets for display campaigns and AB testing.
    • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners on digital marketing and advertising strategy per project.
    • Develop and utilize customer lists for targeted marketing on digital platforms.
    • Work with the executive team and program directors to create communications plans for company and individual programs, including detailed timelines, asset requests, etc.
    • Design programmatic based branding (ex. colors, logos) and guidelines
    • As needed, coordinate with external designers, editors, and/or publicists
    • Manage the company newsletter
    • Develop an internal structure to archive and manage program files and assets.
    • Create a process for receiving individual communications requests, collecting assets, etc. using Google Drive and Notion database system.
  • Reporting:
    • Monitor campaigns performance daily/weekly and adjust as needed to boost engagement and use ad budget efficiently.
    • Co-host monthly check-in updating the team on campaign performance and audience growth, in collaboration with the digital marketing specialist.
    • Maintain accurate records of past campaign results to determine the most effective marketing approaches.

Experience in the film industry is not necessary nor expected.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will be organized, prompt, professional, eager to learn, and have strong writing and communication skills.

  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years experience in digital marketing and/or communications
    • Ability to create, manage, and track multi-channel campaigns including content, graphics, website, email, digital, traditional advertising, and social media.
    • Managing campaigns on social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo, and YouTube.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with Facebook Business Manager and Google Ads Suite
    • Intermediate (or better) skill with design tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Canva
    • Working knowledge of Facebook Pixel and other tracking tools
    • Familiarity with Google Analytics and Facebook Business Manager reporting functions
    • Google Ads Certification is a plus

COMPENSATION: $40,000-50,000 (annual salary, full-time W-2 employment, approx. 40 hours/week) OR monthly stipend on a 1099 contractual basis
