About Improv Playhouse: Improv Playhouse® is a vibrant and dynamic organization committed to the mission of Entertain-Educate-Elevate. Our goal is to create a positive and supportive environment where children can explore their imagination, build self-confidence, and develop essential life skills through the principles of improvisation. We believe in the transformative power of improv, and we strive to make it an integral part of every child's journey by infusing joy and fun into our programs.

What We're Looking For: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Improv Instructors who are team players, leaders of youth, and passionate about creating safe spaces for children to thrive. Our ideal candidates are creative nurturers who revel in the process of building young minds and hearts. As an Improv Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to inspire, motivate, and empower our students, helping them unlock their potential through the magic of improvisational theater.

Responsibilities:

Lead and facilitate youth improv classes and workshops, catering to various age groups and experience levels.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the principles of improvisation and our mission to entertain, educate, and elevate.

Encourage students to take risks, embrace failure, and learn from every experience to grow both on and off the stage.

Foster a sense of community and teamwork among students, promoting respect and empathy.

Provide constructive feedback and support to help students develop their improv skills and boost their self-confidence.

Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to continually improve our curriculum and program offerings.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in teaching, mentoring, or working with children, particularly in improvisational theater or performing arts, is preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency in improvisational techniques and principles.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect and engage with young learners.

A passion for fostering creativity, instilling confidence, and building character in children.

Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude, even in the face of unexpected challenges.

A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive space for all students.

Join Our Team: If you are excited about inspiring the next generation through the power of improvisation and want to be a part of a fun-loving, supportive community, we would love to hear from you! Please submit your resume, along with a brief cover letter outlining your interest in working with Improv Playhouse and your relevant experience. Let's together create a world where laughter, learning, and growth are the building blocks of a brighter future!
