Drawing & Painting Instructors
The Drawing & Painting Department is accepting applications on a rolling basis for instructors to teach in-person Intermediate Painting (Acrylic & Oil), Figure Painting, Color Theory Studio + Seminar, Intermediate Drawing, and Mixed Media-based classes starting in June and beyond. We are looking for teachers with one or more of the following skill sets:
- Knowledge of the different types of color theory approaches (for example, Goethe’s, Munsell’s, and Albers’).
- Knowledge of both historical and contemporary drawing and painting practices and conceptions.
- Experience conducting a seminar.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in arts or higher or 5+ years as a working artist
- Weekend and evening availability for classes is a plus
- At least two years of previous teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- Positive, professional, and motivational
- Excellent people skills
- Must be comfortable working with adults of all skill levels and abilities
