Downtown Student Ambassador & Marketing Assistant
Apollo’s Fire seeks a Student Ambassador & Marketing Assistant. This position provides key support for the Marketing & Community Relations Manager through the downtown Chicagoland area.
Please note that this position is for undergraduate students currently enrolled in a Chicago college or university.
Status: Hourly as needed - approx. 10-15 hours per month, mid October through May.
Description: The Apollo’s Fire Student Ambassador will assist the Chicago Marketing & Community Relations Manager and Box Office staff for the 2025-26 performance season. They will be responsible for poster and brochure distribution throughout Hyde Park and the Loop businesses and will help provide an exceptional guest experience at Apollo’s Fire Concerts. A successful candidate should be friendly, responsible, and able to provide their own form of transportation.
Duties:
- Serve as one of the main distribution persons for posters and other marketing materials to local businesses and organizations in Chicago, to a list supplied by Apollo’s Fire. Poster distribution happens 3-4 weeks before each performance. Develop relationships with businesses to ensure prominent & timely display of AF’s materials.
- Promote Apollo's Fire on campus by hanging posters, delivering rack cards to faculty mailboxes, and raising awareness of Apollo's Fire's Free Student Rush Tickets for upcoming performances
- Assist with concerts as needed. Responsibilities may include scanning tickets, greeting guests, selling merchandise, or other duties as assigned by the Marketing and Community Relations Manager or Patron Services Manager.

- Sunday, December 14 & Monday, December 15 (Winnetka and Chicago)
- Tuesday, February 3 & Wednesday, February 4 2026 (Evanston and Chicago)
- Friday, April 17th- Sunday, April 19th 2026 (Evanston and Chicago)

Compensation: $16-18/hour, commensurate with experience
