Digital Media and Registrarial Internship

The Conservation Center is seeking a motivated intern to assist the Digital Production Manager and registrarial staff. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to interact with The Center’s registrarial, administrative, sales, and shipping teams throughout the course of their daily operations, and to learn more about the practices of a conservation lab. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting the registrars and photographer with intake and post-treatment documentation, and image capture of client artworks. Assisting with database entry and collection tracking. Organizing and editing catalogs of marketing images and conservation photography. Website plus social media image management and updates. Special projects as they arise. QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidates should have experience in studio and event photography as well as a basic understanding of image editing, and archiving. Excellent writing and editing skills are required. Experience with Squarespace web platform, Capture One, Adobe Suite, and various social media platforms are requested, but not required. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment. Candidates must exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work within strict deadlines. Superior accuracy and attention to detail are required. Ability to learn new collection management software platforms required. This is a paid, part-time, temporary position. Applicants must be available to work at The Center a minimum of two eight-hour days each week, for a period of six months. A final schedule will be arranged with the selected applicant.
