Deputy Director, Arts and Public Life

The Deputy Director provides senior day-to-day leadership to the Arts and Public Life Initiative. Under the leadership of the Director, the Deputy Director manages all staff, develops and executes organizational operational and strategic plans, manages capital development initiatives, oversees all financial budget administration of the unit, direct APL’s daily operations including finance, fundraising, marketing, communications, and human resources. In addition the Deputy Director promotes and creates community partnerships and engagements with community and key stakeholders. Oversees and manages the programmatic mission of the unit. Directs the planning and implementation of major capital and operational multi-million dollar redevelopment projects. Reporting to the Director of Arts and Public Life, the Deputy Director works closely with colleagues across UChicago Arts, the Office of Civic Engagement, and organizations throughout the city to promote the success of APL.
