Custom Preservation Framer

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a part-time, experienced custom preservation framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the picture framing industry, specifically in preservation framing and object mounting. Friendly attitude and excellent customer service skills required. We are a busy shop and are looking for energetic people. Job primarily calls for picture framing production. Ability to work with your hands, use power tools, and stand most of the day will be important. We are looking for team members who have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

We are looking for a part-time worker to hopefully transition to full-time. Saturdays are required. We are looking for someone to grow with the business and be long term. Temporary job seekers need not apply.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handling delicate artwork
• Attention to detail on all projects. Inspecting materials before and after assembly
• Assist customers in person and on the phone when needed
• Organize and keep work station clean
• Meet all framing deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of custom framing experience
• Skilled at conservation framing- including jersey mounting, object mounting, and float mounting
• Detail oriented
• Ability to safely lift 20lbs +
• Friendly attitude and ability to work well with others
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements
