Creator Representative
Overview:
A Creator Representative will serve as a purveyor of opportunity on an on-demand basis for our hand-picked Creator roster. You will handle negotiations and other business affairs on behalf of the Creator while under contract. Since most Creators focus a majority of their attention to making, the Creator Representative serves as an advocate, project manager and advisor during this time.
Duties:
Creator Representatives will communicate with Creators to develop strategic plans regarding opportunities which map to expectations of the Creator. Creator Representatives are responsible for collecting revenues, fees or other payments stipulated in contracts. Creator Representatives will also help in the promotion of the Creator’s careers and be a champion for their practice.
Education and Training Requirements:
Sales, Law, Marketing and Media experience is preferred
Degrees in Business Management, Fine Arts are preferred
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
A Creator Representatives must be an expert on the ins and outs of the art and design industry. Good Creator Representatives do everything they can to make their Creator successful. They possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, public relations skills, marketing and advertising skills, negotiation skills and leadership skills. Creator Representatives must be friendly, independent, aggressive and have the ability to work as part of a team. Contract management and negotiation skills are a must.
Working Conditions:
A Chicago based Creator Representative is preferred but this position is 100% remote. Candidates that are located outside the Chicago area will be considered is they fit all other qualifications.
Salary:
This position is commissioned based with incentives linked to performance.
