JOB DESCRIPTION

ConcessionerThe Concessioner is responsible for maintaining operations and assisting customers in lobby concessions stands. This position assists in setting the example and ensuring the highest level of guest experience in concessions and reports to the House Manager.

Essential Responsibilities

Greet and serving guests at the registers; taking orders and serving snacks and beverages to customers in a fast-paced environmentCash handling and accepting payments via debit and credit cardsReconciling sales reports and registers at the end of every shiftReplenishing concessions serving stationsCleaning and maintaining orderly counters, service areas, and concessions displaysManaging inventory; assessing inventory and preparing product orders as necessaryStocking and restocking inventory items as necessaryExpediting resolution of patron conflicts and concerns, elevating to the House Manager as necessaryIn the event of an emergency, directing patrons and staff to safetyBreaking down concessions areas before the end of show for patron egress

Qualifications

Excellent customer service instincts aligned with company mission and core valuesAbility to greet all patrons with enthusiasm, warmth, and a positive attitude as a key public facing representative for the TheaterMust be over 21 years of ageMust provide proof of BASSET certification or be willing to undergo BASSET certification processPrior concessions and bar experience preferred including Square or other POS systemsPrevious experience in the hospitality industry in a professional venueAttention to detail, especially in excellent cash handling skills and knowledge of daily sales reportingAbility to deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise, and firmnessMust be able to multi-task and be self-motivated, with a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize tasks and leverage problem solving skillsGenerally proficient with computers, iPads, Square hardware, and basic office equipmentExcellent verbal communication skillsProficient with two-way radio communication with the ability to hear conversation through an earpiece during the performanceMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Part time, hourly, seasonalRate: $17.50/hour
