Requirements for teachers

Bachelor's of Fine Arts in a studio discipline or Art Education At least one year of experience teaching ceramics (wheelthrowing and/or handbuilding)At least two years of teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experiencePrior experience teaching childrenProficiency with the tools and processes used to help campers develop skills in hand-built and wheel-thrown ceramicsFamiliarity with sketchbook design and assembly, design and planning concepts for 3D project making, and multimedia construction materials and methodsMust be a clear, effective communicator, able to deliver detailed technical information to kids of all skill levels and abilitiesMust strive to create a positive and supportive classroom environmentRequirements for assistants

Currently in or a recent graduate of a BFA or Art Education programAt least one year of experience working with children or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experienceProficiency with the tools and processes used to help campers develop skills in hand-built and wheel-thrown ceramicsFamiliarity with sketchbook design and assembly, design and planning concepts for 3D project making, and multimedia construction materials and methodsMust be a clear, effective communicator, able to deliver detailed technical information to kids of all skill levels and abilitiesMust strive to create a positive and supportive classroom environment
