Ceramics Teaching Artist
Lillstreet Art Center is looking for Teaching Artists for our Ceramics Department. Ceramics Teachers provide our robust community with education that is thoughtful, responsive, and inclusive. We are currently looking for artists who are excited to teach Beginning Wheelthrowing classes. Our classes run for three-hour sessions, once per week, for ten continuous weeks.
We are searching for a Teaching Artist for the Fall 2025 session of classes, running from September 8th through November 16th. Additional contracts may be offered for future sessions depending on availability and performance but are not guaranteed.
Requirements
- Must be available on Thursdays from 2p-5p, Thursdays from 6:30p-9:30p, and/or Tuesdays from 6:30p-9:30p
- At least four years of wheelthrowing experience
- Prior teaching experience in any capacity, ceramics and craft centers preferred
- Responsive to email and in-person communication
- Excited to work with beginners
- Enjoy working with people and eager to support a variety of learning styles

Compensation
This is a contract position paid at a fixed hourly rate. Hourly rate starts at $24/hr and increases based upon experience.
