Ceramic Instructor

MADE Chicago is hiring ceramic instructors. We seek ceramic artists with handbuilding and wheelthrowing skills to teach, beginning through advanced classes and workshops. Candidates should have a robust teaching resume and extensive experience with ceramic topics and techniques. Additional valuable skills are familiarity with electric kiln loading and firing to cone 6 and experience making glaze and slip. Proficiency with tools and processes used to help students develop skills in hand built and wheel thrown ceramics required.

Requirements
- Bachelor's of Fine Arts in a studio discipline or Art Education
- One year teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experience
- Must be a clear, effective communicator, able to deliver detailed technical information to adults of all skill levels and abilities
- Must strive to create a positive and supportive classroom environment
- U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holder
