Your CAD skills will be applied to our tech art venture that features various wearables and larger-scale stage light sculptures. Our past work can be seen at www.zownow.com. We are assembling a team of CAD programmers with strong aesthetics or engineering backgrounds to support our expanding product offerings.

The following are general requirements for the positions:

  1. You have excellent CAD design skills using solid-type programs such as SOLIDWORKS or Fusion 360, and/or with mesh applications like Rhino and Blender.
  2. You have good experience with 3D printing using various processes such as resin, FDM, and even metal output. Ideally, you have your own 3D printer or access to printers.
  3. Your portfolio reflects ample creativity via product design, architecture, or mechanical engineering.
  4. You have explored using AI tools for your design endeavors.
  5. Ideally, you live in Chicagoland, although much of the work can be done virtually.
  6. Ideally, you have experience with technical drawings suitable for patents.

The following are some of the various activities you can be involved in:

  1. You can assist in designing creative parts or entire looks for amazing tech art wearables and structures. You may utilize AI applications for further iterations. Ideally, you have an appreciation for parametric and biomimicry design direction. Your background can be in product, fashion, jewelry, architecture, or fine art design.
  2. You assist in preparing CAD files for 3D printing and metal fabrication.
  3. You assist in engineering solutions for our prototyping and addressing challenges as we expand our offerings. Your background can be in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  4. You assist in translating mesh files to solid-oriented file formats for various parts. Ideally, you have experience in this area.

Your involvement can lead to a longer-term relationship as we bring our creations to the marketplace. We seek to foster an outstanding team to develop a wow-factor product line. Special compensation is available based on favorable output- please ask us for details.
