Ballet Dance Instructor (PT)

Summary: The Old Town School of Folk Music is seeking a part-time Ballet Dance Instructor to teach classes for both children and adults at our Lincoln Square and Lincoln Park locations.

Schedule: Classes will typically be scheduled Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday mornings and early afternoons. Specific class times will be confirmed upon instructor assignment.

Location: Lincoln Square and Armitage

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to various skill levels, ensuring safe and supportive environments for all participants.
• Monitor and assess individual students progress, providing personalized feedback and adjustments to improve technique and performance.

Qualifications:

• Professional training in ballet with a recognized certification
• Minimum two years of teaching experience preferred
• Experience teaching ballet to both children and adults preferred
• Strong understanding of ballet technique and pedagogy
• Ability to teach beginners through advanced levels required
• Passion for working with students of all ages
• Knowledge of diverse dance styles and techniques a plus
• Ability to teach online a plus
• Must be able to work weekends
