Art Workshops Internship
Duration & Time Commitment: Late May-Late August. 10 hrs/week
Preferred availability: rotating schedule between Friday afternoon and Friday evenings, additional shift on either Tuesday or Thursday, some flexibility for events
Direct Supervisor: Studio Manager Wes Kendall
Our Mission: Awakenings provides survivors of sexual violence with a trauma-informed, inclusive art-making experience that encourages healing.
Description:
The goal of this internship is to provide the intern an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience within a small arts non-profit during a season of programming. For the Summer of 2025 the intern will assist the Studio Manager with studio maintenance including developing new studio projects, open studio hours, art workshop preparation, and running of workshops.
This internship is an in-person commitment. All workshops will be in-person.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Works well in a small team & is a self-starter
- Experience with event planning & support (not required)
- Experience with art making of any kind (not required)
