Job Opportunity: Part-Time Studio Assistant & Instructor

About Us: We are a vibrant paint and sip art studio that offers engaging in-studio public and private events for both adults and kids. Our classes create a fun and relaxing environment where participants can enjoy social painting, guided step-by-step by our talented instructors, all while sipping drinks and listening to music. We also provide occasional offsite events and paint-at-home art kits.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Part-Time Studio Assistant with social media and marketing skills who can also instruct classes. We are open to hiring one individual for both roles or two separate individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

Assistant Duties:

• Manage social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
• Create digital flyers using Canva or similar tools.
• Organize and set up the studio for classes, clean up after sessions, and assist during classes.
• Post upcoming events on our Facebook page and Eventbrite.
• Create and send email blasts and marketing campaigns.
• Assemble art kits and assist with our Etsy page.

Instructor Duties:

• Lead painting classes mainly in-studio and occasionally offsite.
• Break down paintings in an easy-to-follow step-by-step format.
• Bring a positive and fun attitude to the studio and engage with customers.
• Assist with setup, paint pouring, and cleanup after classes.

Requirements:

• Flexible schedule with availability at least two days a week, ideally during the day for the assistant role.
• Familiarity with acrylic paint and a background/experience in art.
• Patient, fun, and upbeat/outgoing personality.
• Comfortable instructing in front of groups.

Compensation:

• $18/hr for the assistant position (flexible hours).
• $80/class plus tips for the instructor position. Classes tend to be mainly in the evenings Wednesday-Sunday and afternoons on weekends. Duration of class/event is approx. 3.5hrs

This is a part-time position with potential for growth into full-time and management roles. We are looking for someone who will grow with us.
