Art Instructor (Paint and Sip Studio)
About Us
We are a vibrant paint and sip art studio in Chicago offering fun, guided in-studio public and private events for adults and kids. Our classes are relaxed, social, and beginner-friendly. Guests paint step by step while enjoying music, drinks and a great atmosphere. We also host occasional offsite events and offer paint-at-home art kits.
Position Overview
We are seeking a paint and sip instructor to lead in-studio classes and occasional offsite events. This role is ideal for someone looking to teach a class or two per week with the opportunity to pick up additional classes based on availability, demand, and performance.
Responsibilities

Arrive 1 hour prior to the scheduled class time to set up the studio, prepare supplies, and pour paint

Lead painting classes in a clear, easy-to-follow, step-by-step format

Create a fun, positive, and engaging environment for guests of all experience levels

Assist with cleanup and resetting the studio after each class

Represent the studio professionally and help ensure a great guest experience
Schedule & Time Commitment

Classes run 2.5–3 hours depending on class size and detail of painting.

Total on-site time per event is approximately 4-4.5 hours, which includes setup and cleanup

Instructors typically teach 1–3 classes per week, with opportunities to take on more

Classes are primarily held evenings Wednesday–Sunday and afternoons on weekends
Compensation

$95 per class + tips

Pay includes time for setup, instruction, and cleanup

Requirements

Experience with acrylic paint and a background in art

Comfortable speaking and instructing in front of groups

Patient, upbeat, and outgoing personality

Reliable, punctual, and professional

Flexible availability, especially evenings and weekends
