After School & Camp Coordinator

Greenfields Academy is a redesigned approach to “school”, where K-8 students are empowered to find and nurture their passions and create a vision of who they want to be in the world. We are seeking an After School & Camp Coordinator who has a lifelong love of learning, endless patience, stellar organizational skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Candidates should have a deep respect for children and be prepared to allow students to take the reins in directing their own learning experiences. Our after school and camp programs enroll up to 20 students, aged 5-13, in a mixed-age setting. The After School & Camp Coordinator plans for and facilitates an enrichment program that includes a mix of open-ended exploration and a variety of hands-on activities (art, science, drama, technology, and more). Many of these activities will be led by the Coordinator but this role will also include recruiting and supervising outside experts to assist with some of the activities. In addition, the After School & Camp Coordinator will provide onsite administration and leadership during the after school and camp hours and work closely with the Office Manager and Head of School on program planning and communications. Days/Hours: After School: Daily 3 pm - 6 pm during the school year (early Sept - mid July) Break Camps: Daily 8 am - 6 pm during school break weeks Summer Camp: Dates/times TBD in August Requirements: Candidates should have proven excellence in guiding others, whether in or out of a school environment. Montessori, project-based and/or experiential learning experience is a plus. Candidates should have at least two years of experience working with children in the stated age range. We seek Guides who love to experiment, evaluate, and improve on everything they do. Candidates should have proven excellence in written and oral communication skills, and be comfortable using and learning a variety of technology tools.
