Write That Down! is looking for artists, writers, and creatives
Write That Down! is collecting submissions for our Spring/Summer issue from artists, writers, archivists, neighbors and friends in Chicago. The priority deadline for submissions is June 23rd and the regular deadline is July 7th.
Write That Down! is a seasonal, zine-based collection of artifacts, art, and stories that captures the current moment in Chicago from a radical, queer, and experimental perspective. In response to digital approaches to connection and authorship, Write That Down! presents a tangible alternative that promotes active connection through community based production, collaboration, and celebration.
Previous issues have featured an essay from a Chicago Teachers Union representative, coverage of Chicago’s LGBTQ+ nightlife renaissance, and small reflections on everyday life in our city. You can read past issues on our website for more inspiration.
We’re accepting any work that’s relevant to you this Spring and Summer in Chicago. There is no memento too big or local story too small for these pages. If it matters to you, write it down. You can find a list of recommendations on our Google Form.
If you have questions about your submission, have something not print friendly that you’d like to share, or just want to chat, please reach out to WTD! at writethtdown@hotmail.com.
