Stevenson High School seeks applicants for the Visiting Artist Program.
ABOUT
Stevenson’s Visiting Artist Program enriches students' visual arts education by providing unique opportunities to engage with professional artists through gallery exhibitions, workshops, and ARTalks (artist presentations). Designed to showcase a diverse range of artists, styles, and mediums, the program offers valuable insights and inspiration throughout the school year.
Stevenson High School is a National School of Distinction in Arts Education located in Lincolnshire, IL. The six full-time Visual Art Faculty curate the Visiting Artist Program to support their curriculum in Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, Ceramics, Sculpture, Metals & Jewelry, Photography, Digital Art and Design, Animation, and Art History.

CRITERIA
Visual artists of all mediums, styles, and artistic backgrounds are encouraged to apply and will be selected for opportunities (outlined below) based on their experience, availability, and the needs of the program. During contracting, artists must pass a name-based background check and provide a W-9.
PAYMENT
Payment will be issued upon completion of the contracted services, based on the following scale.
- Gallery Exhibit = $300
- Gallery Exhibit + Two ARTalks = $420
- Gallery Exhibit + ½ Day Workshop(s) = $660
- Gallery Exhibit + Full Day Workshop(s) = $900
SUBMISSIONS
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Space is limited and submissions will be kept on file for future consideration. (Previous applicants and previous SHS Visiting Artists are encouraged to apply again at this time. The program structure has been updated to include new formats.)
