Paint Northbrook - Plein Air Painting Event

All artists are invited to paint the splendor of Northbrook parks in the "Plein Air" style (outdoors from direct observation) within the boundaries of Northbrook, a community of over 35,000. Each artist will be provided one 3 ft. x 6 ft. panel to display their work; a maximum of three stamped pieces may be submitted for judging. Unframed artwork must not exceed 20 inches in any direction.

Participants are welcome to visit Techny Prairie Activity Center anytime between August 8-15, 7am-5pm to get their canvases stamped.

The event will culminate at the Northbrook Park District's Village Green Park on Saturday, August 16, 2025, as part of the "Party on the Green" community family event with a potential of over 1500 visitors. Awards will be given for First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention.

Guidelines:
Artwork Submission• Artists must submit an inventory form, W-9 form, and labels for each piece (labels provided on-site).• Completed, signed, framed pieces must be dropped off on Saturday, August 16 between 12-2pm at Village Green Center located at 1810 Walters Avenue Northbrook, IL.

Art Show and Sale• All submitted artwork will be displayed and available for sale during the “Party on the Green” event in a large 20 x 30-foot tent. All unsold artwork must be picked up at the end of the event.• The Northbrook Park District will manage all sales and a 25% commission will be retained. Artists will receive 75% of sales via mailed check within 14 business days. Sales tax is included in the price listed for customers.
