Pages on Display: A Storybook Showcase & Book Reading. Aims to support and uplift Chicago Authors and Illustrators. The goal of this show would be to connect writers, illustrators, and independently published books with a larger audience who are actively involved in supporting independent literature.
The call for art enthusiastically welcomes a wide array of submissions associated with storytelling, children’s books, poetry and literature. For example, we are looking for individual book pages, storyboards, unique character designs, zines, comics and illustrations relating to storytelling. We strongly encourage independent authors, especially those who write children's books to submit their work for consideration. Selected authors would be invited to join us the night of May 24th to read an excerpt of their story on a first come first share rotating bases opening night of the exhibition. All authors would also be encouraged to bring copies of their books for sale. We look forward to seeing your work! Thank you!
