Ox-Bow Summer Residency
Summer Artist-in-Residence Program
Ox-Bow School of Art & Artists’ Residency offers 12 artists the time, space, and community to encourage growth and experimentation in their practice for a three week summer residency on our Saugatuck campus. The program is held while our core courses and community programs are in session. During this time, a small group of 3-4 residents have access to our community of students, faculty, and visiting artists.
Our Summer Residencies are open to artists at any level. Currently enrolled students, MFA candidates, arts faculty, emerging, or established artists are encouraged to apply. A small number of our residencies may be awarded to artists, writers and cultural workers through nomination. There are generally 3-4 residents on campus at a time.
2026 dates: May 31–June 20, June 21–July 11, and July 13–August 1
Deadline: Apply by March 8, 2026, 11:59 p.m.
Accommodations: single rooms, shared bathrooms, three buffet-style meals per day.
Studio: independent, simple studio spaces; speciality studios are not available during this residency.
