National Purebred Dog Day Fine Art/Poster Competition
Celebrate the diversity and heritage of purebred dogs in the tenth annual National Purebred Dog Day Fine Art/Poster Competition. Open internationally to artists 18+, this juried competition awards $2,000 to one “Best in Show” winner, whose work will become the official 2026 poster. Artists are encouraged to creatively depict as many breeds as possible from the AKC’s seven groups, highlighting the variety and predictability of purebred dogs. All two-dimensional media except photography, sculpture, digital/AI, and fiber art are welcome. Up to three original works may be submitted ($35 per entry). Entries must be unpublished and not previously exhibited. The juror is Alan Fausel, Curator of the AKC Museum of the Dog. Select works will be offered for sale to a dedicated audience of dog enthusiasts, with artists retaining 75% of sales. Submission deadline: November 15, 2025.
