Media Literacy 101: From Resident to Journalist
Join 15 West's series of workshops and gain essential media skills to become confident, informed storytellers.
Over 3 weeks, residents with a story to tell and/or those new to #journalism will learn to:
• decode misinformation
• critically engage with media
• write your own narratives through hands-on training in digital publishing and community journalism
Most importantly, at the end of this series, participants will be published in said newsroom on 15West.org and eligible to write + be paid to report on Chicago’s west side neighborhoods and/or suburbs.
