Lavender Feels
Get Hyped! We are kicking off summer at Side Street with our Pride Month exhibition, Lavender Feels. The color Lavender has been part of LGBTQIA+ community since its early history and has been reclaimed to be a symbol of queer empowerment and resistance. This is a call for art in any medium that explores and represents the LGBTQIA+ community.
This exhibition is open to the public June 6 - June 28, 2025, with a public reception on Friday June 6, from 6-9 pm.
Submission Requirements:
Submissions must be received by Wednesday May 14, 2025 at midnight - late submissions will NOT be accepted. Artists will be notified of their acceptance by email.
All artists working in visual mediums will be considered including 2D/3D and video/time-based works. Larger works are also considered, for specific questions regarding size or other special installation requirements please inquire before submitting. Submissions will be limited to 3 artworks per artist.
There is a $10 submission fee required for your submission. SSSA takes no commission on art sales. Side Street Studio Arts Members are exempt from the submission fee. Interested in becoming a Side Street Studio Arts member? More info available here: https://www.sidestreetstudioarts.org/membership
