Handmade By Robots
November 4th - 27th, 2019
The Art Department at Northeastern Illinois University welcomes submissions from all artists
from the Chicago metropolitan area. DEADLINE FOR ENTRY – October 15th, 2019 via
electronic submissions. No entries will be accepted after this date. The show will be juried by
the curator Ali Seradge and Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) Arts Club.
Eligibility:
Chicago based artists who use digital media to assist, influence, or augment the process or final
art piece.
Specifications:
Each artist may submit up to 5 original works (2D, 3D, or 4D).
Framing:
All artwork accepted for the exhibition must be ready for professional installation. 2D works must be framed with a wire on the back for hanging.
Video, Web and Audio Works: Artists should specify how their video, web and audio work should be displayed or presented. If you have your own device on which the piece will be played, please list the dimensions of the device in the additional info field.
Exhibition Space:
The exhibition will be hung in the Salme Harju Fine Arts Center Gallery.

October 28th - 31st: Installation

November 28th - 30th: Pick up artwork in Art Gallery

Drop off/Pick Up:
Artists are responsible for transportation of their work to and from the University. Accepted
work should be delivered to theGallery during designated Gallery hours orby appointment with Ali Seradge. All work must be delivered ready to hang by 10am, Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019. All work must remain in the show for the duration of theexhibit. Works may be picked up in the Art Gallery after the exhibition closing, November 28th -
30th, 2019.
Fees/Sales/Commissions:
There is no entry fee. All sales inquiries will be forwarded directly to the artist. No commissions
will be taken from sales. Work does not have to be for sale to be exhibited in the show.
Publicity:
By submitting an entry form the artist agrees to all conditions stated here. The artist also
agrees to release images of the artwork for publicity and cataloging purposes.
Image Submission:
Submit high-resolution jpeg photographs that accurately represent artworks. Files should be
approximately 1,000 pixels on the longest side. Name files with your first name, last name, and
an entry number. For example: Jane_Smith1.jpg, Jane_Smith2.jpg, Jane_Smith3.jpg
Notification:
Artists will be notified via email whether or not the jury selected their submissions. Please make
sure your email information is accurate. Artist will be notified by October 17th, 2019.
