Group Exhibition, CUFFING
Jackson Junge Gallery is immediately seeking artists' submissions for their upcoming exhibition CUFFING, opening on Friday, January 24, 2020 and running through Sunday, Mach 1, 2020. Artists are encouraged to submit artwork that is revolving around the culture of “Cuffing Season”.
Submissions for the exhibition are free.
What is “Cuffing”? Have you or someone you know indulged in “Cuffing Season”? This entertaining and sexy show exhibits references to the popular cultural phenomena, “Cuffing”. In the midst of winter, “Cuffing Season” is in full swing. The idea is, when the colder months hit us, it’s a race to find your warm and non-platonic relationship for the winter. This show allows the viewer to dive into the most cold but sensual months of the year.
Artists in all media are encouraged to submit work that brings to light sexual indulgence during a time of year that is notorious for hibernation. The goal is to include a diverse range of works that unapologetically embrace sexuality. Thus, opening the doors to freedom of expression, enthusiastic consent, and an open dialogue about sexuality in the world today. A celebration of sex and sexuality, the exhibit urges artists to embrace sexual indulgence of many forms and to emphasize the importance of the nude and nakedness of today’s sexual culture.
All submitted work MUST conceptualize the theme above. Priority and preference will be given to new works of art. Artworks must be original, professionally presented and ready for installation.

No more than 8 pieces may be submitted.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday, January 5, 2020. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
The jury selection begins Thursday, January 9, 2020. Artist notifications will be sent out by Friday, January 10, 2020. If selected, artwork must be received no later than Sunday, January 19, 2020.
