FORGING THE CONCEPT: A Workshop Series
Stretch into spring with Forging the Concept, a new workshop series hosted by Clare Brennan. Artists of any performative medium are invited to spend a morning developing an idea from first inspiration to first draft. We'll spend our time writing, moving, editing, and observing our way through our concepts, hopefully leaving with confidence in our next steps forward.
This workshop is inspired by the work of Kate Davis and Emma Valente, the visionary women behind THE RABBLE: "As a company, THE RABBLE creates experimental feminist encounters; abandoning male-dominated play-scripts and replacing them with an improvisational methodology using poetry, prose, image, tableau and gesture. RABBLE artworks are realised through sweeping design and intense theatricality."
Forging the Concept will be at Links Hall every Saturday in May from 9am to noon and is pay-what-you-can. Sessions are capped, so sign up for your slot today and pass the word along!
